About Me

I'm a daughter trying to not let my parents down, a sister trying to be a good role model for my younger brother, a student attempting to impress my teachers and get good grades, and a friend always trying be there. Hi guys! I'm Aarya Bhushan, I am 14 years old and live in the United States. I have a younger brother who is always there to make my day happier and more lively, though he can occasionally get out of hand.

More about me: I love drinking boba and listening to music. Together? Haven't really tried it now that I've thought about it 😂. Boba, or bubble tea is a tea-based drink. This drink originates from Taiwan, specifically Taichung in the 1980s. Boba traditionally includes small, chewy tapioca pearls in addition to a selection of other toppings. There are many varieties of the drink, but my favorite is a nice silky mango smoothy with boba, lychee jelly, and mango jelly 🧋😋. Like I mentioned, I love music. Honestly, I can't imagine living without it ðŸŽķ. Music originally started around 40,000 years ago. It all started with simply clapping our hands. Then, people started smacking stones and sticks together, to form a rhythm. Another opinion though, is that the first musical instrument was actually the voice of a human, as it can make several different sounds, such as clicking, clacking, singing, whistling, and many more. There are numerous styles and types of music, but my favorite has to be pop music. I really enjoy listening to Tate McRae, Billie Eilish, Jeremy Zucker, Troye Sivan, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Bea Miller, and several other artists 😁.

My favorite food is either fettuccine or pizza (I can't decide 😋); I love all Italian food to be honest. Apart from writing, I enjoy reading realistic fiction books, such as Wonder by RJ Palacio, Falling Over Sideways By Jordan Sonnenblick, and Holes by Louis Sachar. I also find pleasure in painting with watercolor, as I find it relaxing, and watching Shark Tank because I find it interesting to see the new and creative product ideas people have.

On a side note, I'm grateful for my parents and teachers who have taught me several important values, such as staying humble and honest 😊.

"Honesty and transparency make you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway." ~Mother Teresa

Speaking of education, I will be starting high school next school year (2021-2022). Fingers crossed ðŸĪžðŸž the situation of the pandemic will improve and become more safe for everyone to go to school.

One random fact about me is that I enjoy reading quotes, as it motivates me to keep on going.

"A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor." ~Franklin D. Roosevelt

This quote especially emphasizes that no matter how easy and simple circumstances around you make it to accomplish something, you will always have to work hard, which is a concept I truly believe in.
